Overview

Protio is an offline protein tracker. We don't collect, store, or transmit personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Data Storage

All data — food entries, settings, weight logs — is stored locally in an embedded database. Nothing leaves your device.

Camera

Camera access is used only for barcode scanning. Images are processed on-device and never transmitted.

Network

The only network request is a barcode lookup through Open Food Facts, an open-source food database. No personal data is sent.

Analytics & Crash Reports

Protio sends anonymous crash reports through Sentry so we can fix bugs. No personal data, food entries, or usage patterns are included. There are no ads, no user tracking, and no third-party analytics.

Data Deletion

Delete the app and all data is permanently removed. There are no backups and no recovery options.

Website

This site uses no cookies, tracking, or analytics. For security reasons, the hosting provider logs IP addresses and timestamps — standard practice, with no personal data stored by us.
